Why do girls like invader zim

Positive Messages. Positive role models. Helped me decide 1. Read my mind 2. Parent of a 4, 7, 9, and year-old Written by bostonbragg December 24, Dark Harvest is really creepy, and it's creepiest one that I've seen I've seen most of sesons one and two.

It's the episode when Zim steals organs to appear more human. My four year old sister walked in in the middle of it, said she wanted to watch, and I said she could leave if she gets too scared, and she just walked right out right then.

If she arrived at any other moment, that would have happened too. My point is, it's written by and stars Jhonen Vasquez, an adult comic book writer. Not for little kids. Adult Written by xMadxScientistx February 19, Nick threw away a gem of a show. Too bad they weren't interested in an older target market!

If Cartoon Network had gotten its hooks into this one, it'd probably still be running now. Adult Written by spongezim February 17, Parent of a 1, 10, 10, 14, and year-old Written by charmsmatuts February 2, I'm Going to sing the Doom Song Now!

I think Common sense is going too hard on this show with the Language and the Violence. My kids and I are in love with this show. We watch it all the time. And it got canceled, so now nick has stupid shows.

Like T. Except Planet sheen got canceled too. And stupid teenager shows about teenagers being too inappropriate. Like iCarly or Victorious. I cannot believe some people hate this show. I agree that you're just begging to be destroyed if you hate this show.

You'd be crazy if you hate it. My whole family loves it. Including my Grandparents, But most of my family has never heard of this show. Jesus or Santa probably does not hate this show. Because we need this show back. Although, I heard on Christmas Eve of , They showed 1 new episode. That is a clue that they will put this show back on the air. And Nobody in the world hates it. Mabye 1, But I read online that over 1 billion people love this show. It needs to be back on now!

I would do anything to get this show back on the air. Helped me decide. Had useful details. Parent of a year-old Written by Astrid12 November 21, Very smart, underrated, "feared" show For some reason, Invader Zim scares Americans. One little green dude wants to take over the world in a cartoon and parents are already concerned of them taking in the "bad stuff". Are people so untrustworthy of their kids that they can't tell the difference.

Invader Zim is a satirical view of the everyday lifestyle. However, the latter idea is the more likely. The writers never establish Zim's feelings towards Tak Jhonen Vasquez doesn't approve of them getting together out of all the pairings, as he has confirmed countless times , although it is clear that she hates him.

Zim also mentions he plans to destroy Tak after using her to study human affection, which implies that he has never cared for her at all. When Tak followed Zim home, she tried to hypnotize him just as she did with their classmates but he was apparently immune to her hypnotic powers, since he does not react to them; Tak appears confused and angry at this.

This opens the possibility that her powers are supposed to work on other Irkens and maybe she even used it with the Tallest. If so, it would explain why they let her prove she can be a good Invader, when they're known to be abusive towards their fellow Irkens.

This could mean that Zim is actually very intelligent in his own way and would explain why Tak was angry and confused as she, like the rest of the Irken Empire , views Zim with contempt and believes him to be an idiot.

There is also the possibility that Zim cannot be controlled because he is defective , but Tak is equally defective and her powers work on normal humans who have free will. An early unpublished animation shows Zim kissing her hand out of respect, and her smiling and giving him a big hug before they walk off together, but Jhonen Vasquez immediately disapproved it and it was left out of the final version of the 'love montage'.

Had the series continued, Tak would have reappeared, making her a recurring villain trying to get in Zim's way. In " Top of the Line ", she would have entered a competition among the other Invaders, during which their SIR Units would be put through a series of tests like a dog show or athletic competition. I don't call my generation mean, or disturbed, or anything else, though.

Zim is, like many real people, angry and hurt. His people do not want him, and he wants somebody to believe in him. And, like many real people, he goes about it the wrong way. Growing up watching him and many people I know in real life make the wrong choices reminds me now that it is not okay.

There's a right way to gain respect- this is not it. His determination is astounding, however, and admirable.

Dib, the antagonist character, is quite blatently a neglected child feeling very much the same as Zim. Dib's struggle for the attention of his father - a man, I might add, who is not really worth all the effort - happens in the real world. It shows me that when a person isn't good for you, chasing them will only make things worse. If they can't accept you the way you are, they're not worth impressing.

Also, the fact that Zim and Dib are so similar personality- and situation-wise makes it clear how ridiculous it is that they are enemies, simply because they are on opposite ends of the universe. If they stopped for a moment and acknowledged each other as friends, neither would need to go through with petty goals and dangerous missions, because the entire point of it is to gain acceptance and love.

Some things they could just as easily give each other, and be far happier. There's something to be learned from that, surely; I know I will never make the same mistakes.

At first glance, Invader Zim seems to be sending off the wrong signals, but it's exactly the opposite. Kids watch this show with clarity; they can see that what is going on is not right.

They know that things like this though perhaps not on as large a scale happen all the time. Many of them, such as myself, have watched it happen. I've spoken to kids at my school who are neglected, abused, and bullied. Just like on TV. And because of this show, I know that becoming bitter and violent is not the way to make things better; only to lose yourself. God bless Invader Zim. Teen, 15 years old Written by bell March 16, The Era is changing, kids now get a bit more mature faster or lose innocent a bit faster than they normally did before, I remember when I was 11I played with barbies and went to barbiegirls.

I do admit the show does hold a certain dark humor but it is still suitable for children,my younger sister who is five years old also enjoys it very much. Teen, 14 years old Written by Expired coffee November 6, Teen, 13 years old Written by MysticMermaid July 4, And Dark. This is an interesting show. On one hand, this is one of the funniest, quirkiest, most unique shows I've ever watched! On the other hand, though, it's one of the darkest and creepiest shows I've ever watched.

There's a few things I think I should clear up. Plot: Zim is an Alien Invader who hails from planet Irk. He is part of the Irken race, a race of aliens who dominate and conquer worlds for their empire. Desperate to get rid of him and his annoying plans, The Almighty Tallest send him to Earth since they believe nothings out there, and give him an energetic, dumb robot partner named GIR who's brain is literally made of trash.

To the Tallest's surprise, Zim and GIR make it to Earth, and blend in with human society through very unconvincing means, and Dib, a tween who's obsessed with the paranormal, makes it his life goal to defeat and expose Zim. And from there, you get two seasons of bizarre, sometimes disturbing alien adventures, action packed Sci-Fi, and some of the most unique humor you've ever seen.

Good Stuff: The characters are so unique. This show is so.. In a good way. It teaches lessons, though pretty harshly and straightforward. If you continue to fail, keep trying, and you'll eventually succeed.

Don't let people take advantage of you. Learn who and who not to trust. Don't be a weirdo lol. There are a few dark episodes, but if you ignore them, you'll love the episodes that are left! They are funny, epic, unique, and a lot of fun. Bad Stuff: Like I said, a dark show. There are five episodes in particular that, if you're sensitive, you might wanna stay away from. Turns out, he leads a colony of demon alien monster babies that turn into a giant ugly beast and try to trap Zim on earth.

He escapes and defeats them, but still, ew. But, because he is easily distracted, he fails. Thank goodness. Of course, if you're even lightly familiar with Vasquez's other work and I was a goth kid in the early 's, so it was all I was familiar with you know that Invader Zim's dark tone is quite literally child's play by comparison.

Still, you can't deny that the series really put in some heavy, soul crushing messages between "The Doom Song" and all those rubber piggies. And I'd say that ala The Powerpuff Girls , they did a really good job of hiding adult lessons in a children's cartoon, but well I'm pretty sure they were a bit more blatant in delivering the news that we were all doomed. Zim is the least qualified of all the Invaders, to the point where his name is practically a punchline to Tallest Red and Tallest Purple.

They basically send him on a mission as a joke, and he only gets to Earth by accident. As soon as he gets there he puts on the flimsiest of disguises some blue contacts and a Richie Ricardo wig, essentially and somehow manages to dupe the entire class into thinking he's human. Even when all his mannerisms are over exaggerated, and roughly 37 percent of his words come across mispronounced or yelped.

Even when he doesn't have ears. You guys It just goes to show you the strength of Zim's belief. The delusions he holds about his self-importance and the overall quality of his work somehow are what keep him afloat.
