How long does unisa take to mark assignments

Upon clicking the course link you will be taken to the following screen. Click Course Materials. You will be taken to this page. Make sure you are on the To Do tab. Select the assignment you need to work on then click Start.

A window similar to the one below opens. Click Download Files. The following window opens with support files that are required for you to complete the assignment.

You have an option to download all files at once as a zip file by clicking or separately as individual files by clicking the green arrow. Download the file or files to your computer by following the Windows prompts. These files will be saved in your default downloads folder set for your browser. After successful downloading, your files should be located in the relevant folder similar to the one below. Note: This is only an example. Your file names will vary according to the assignment you are working on.

A Microsoft Word document containing the instructions will be provided with these downloaded sets of files. Open the instructions document and work on your assignment as explained in the document. Upon completing the assignment, pay attention and save your work to the desktop, or to any other location that will be easy for you to remember and retrieve during submission for grading.

Important: When saving the file, remember to save the file with the same default file name. I know the scripts are marked by a system but does it also capture the final mark automatically on the database?

Please advise as I need to get to the bottom of this. I feel that it could be, Unisa erroneously captured my final mark or I erroneously captured my answers which I doubt because I always double check my answers before handing in my script on the sheet but something is definitely not right.

Please advise. You would have to purchase a copy of your script though for this to work so that you can do it correctly. Have you reached out to fellow PYC students who also felt something was wrong with their exam results? Your final exam results will show whether the module in question is subject to a supplementary exam or not. Download a copy of your academic record. It will highlight the modules that you have already passed.

Remember that assignments and the exam are two completely different beasts. It could be possible but at the same time, highly unlikely.

This essentially rules out the possibility of an exam remark. Can I get a private tutor to look at my script , and if there are any discrepancies can Unisa change my marks?

Remarking results will be made available to students more or less 2 months after the closing date of the remark process. Thanks for the kind words, Kiasha. If you applied for a remark at or before the due date, you were supposed to receive feedback by now. I contacted the course head lecturer and she advised that she is unable to assist me.

I have sent 14 emails to the remark department with no response. Now I am preparing to write the sup as this is the last module to complete my qualification. So sorry to hear.

You should have gotten a response by now, so this is quite the lengthy delay for a remark. Marks for your exam as well as your assignments will count for your module.

My hesitation is how often do people get a lower mark after a remark? These fees may be added to your study fees, so you would use the same reference number as your study fees I submitted on the due date 26 february and still have not receive results whether i was sucessfull or not.

I strongly believe the person who marked my portfolio ignored certain key components in it. When l compiled my final portfolio l checked the guide that was given to us. There is no way l could have messed my final portfolio and this can prejudice my chances for further studies.

What can l do if l want a remark. Forward an e-mail to purchasescript unisa. Remember to include your student number in the subject line and the module code in the body of the e-mail.

Fees for payment of your exam portfolio can be found here. I applied for remarking Engsince begining of Januuary till now I did not reveive my result and is the only module a left with to complete my course. The first two assignments are comprised of multiple choice questions. NO late assignments will be marked. Due to the tight time constraints of fitting everything into a semester, we will NOT be able to consider late assignments for marking.

If you cannot make a due date, remember that it will not be counted against you - you can only benefit by submitting it in time. Web-based students might therefore find it easier to first print out the assignment before working on it. For each question, select only the BEST possible answer, and write down the number of that answer next to the question number eg.

Complete all questions on your dummy answer sheet. If you intent to submit your answers electronically, keep your dummy answer sheet ready. For this exercise, you will have to install if you have not yet and use the XML Spy editor that accompanied your textbook. Only printouts of your practical work will be considered. If there is a consistent problem with the Unisa-servers two days prior to the due date, we automatically extend the due date for a week Also the section on Possible Problems.

Remember that the automatic extension of one assignment does NOT imply extension of the follow-up assignments, you must therefore continue with your study programme as initially planned and not adjust your schedule according to the new date. Do NOT e-mail your assignment to the lecturers please since it cannot be marked by the computer program which marks the incoming assignments. Go to to download individual assignments.

Will the assignments contribute towards the final mark?
