Where is artifact of newborn

They stated that themselves in some of the scans. IIRC they even mentioned that some of their scientists were getting eaten any time they got near Metroid Prime. So could they enter the seed, or could they not? The question is, when did the Chozo build the temple? Was it there before the space pirates arrived? I know the impact of the Leviathan was 50 years before the events of the game, and the pirates have been there long enough to have built advanced labs.

Maybe the Artifact Temple was somehow built after the arrival of the space pirates, and it was before that when they were experimenting on MP. Reports indicate that it sensed a large batch of raw Phazon in the lab from within its stasis tank and broke through the glass, using previously unsuspected strength. Besides consuming all of the Phazon, Metroid Prime assimilated several weapons and defense systems from fallen security units.

It has suffered no ill effect from said assimilation: indeed, it began to use its newly acquired weapons against us. Once we pacified it, we were unable to remove the assimilated gear without threat to Metroid Prime--the gear is now an integral part of its body.

Command is intrigued by this newfound ability, and has ordered further study to commence at once. At some point it must have left the lab, and then the Leviathan acquired it as its guardian. Leviathians must have some way of attracting creatures they deem strong enough to serve that purpose.

So Prime found a way in, but the Pirates couldn't. Doesn't it do a trick in the final fight where it sort of fades out and you can't shoot it? Maybe it can go through solid objects in that form. The Chozo definitely put it there, according to the scan of the Newborn totem in the Temple.

Which is another problem; according to multiple Space Pirate entries and at least one Chozo Lore, the Space Pirates found a few artifacts and started running tests on them, so why were all of the Artifacts still in place where the Chozo put them, again, according to the scans from the Temple totems.

Maybe they couldn't move the artifacts because they only respond to the suit the Chozo built for Samus? The pirates could have brought equipment and ran experiments on site.

Phazon Mines shouldn't have existed when the Chozo were making their artifacts. Was there no underground area at all? Did the pirates drill all of that themselves? Maybe the infrastructure of some mines was in place already, but it's the pirates that turned it into a giant Phazon lab. The Artifact's not just in Phazon Mines, it's deep in Phazon. Assuming SOME form of mines already existed, the Phazon had likely not spread completely at that point.

Keep in mind that the Leviathan seed is actually not fully developed; this one was launched prematurely, so the Phazon would have spread slower. User Info: MawiocUdwoc. The one you find by bringing down a tower was definitely moved from its original place, same with the one guarded by the Phazon Elite, so those and any others I can't remember at the moment can be the ones the Pirates took to test. As to the lores giving their current locations, I'll get there in a moment.

If I recall correctly, the Chozo had long gotten rid of their physical form before the Pirates arrived, but some of them still existed in ethereal form they turned into Chozo Ghosts and those could've been the ones that updated the lores found, since they also describe how the pirates are invading their former homeworld on them. Like PappinAce said, some of the mines might have existed since before being just caverns before the Leviathan arrived , and eventually the Phazon spread enough to cover that location.

There's a lore that talks about the "Worm", that foretells the Newborn walking on corruption fighting it or something like that , so they somehow foresaw Samus would be able to withstand it. According to Prime 3, the Leviathan lures a local creature and turns it into the seed guardian, so Prime wouldn't have problems entering if the Leviathan itself opened a path for it, but not for the Pirates.

PappinAce posted Like I mentioned on point 2, the Chozo existed as spirits by the time the Pirates arrived, so they most likely built the temple before that, and when the Pirates referred as invaders by the lores arrived the ethereal Chozo registered it on their lores.

Now, my own question: this whole thing reminded me about something similar from Metroid Prime 2, which could be better off for the forum in there but still, hehe. The Pirate facilities in Agon were built after the war had started, and yet one of the Keybearers' corpse was found inside their facilities. How did it get there? But do I have to bring the eleven back first, or can I get both of the Phazon Mines artifacts in one run?
